Every Sunday from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A. M. via zoom and face-to face.
The mission of the Sunday school is to provide the entire membership of the Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church with a comprehensive ministry which has a responsibility to engage members in regular, meaningful, and relevant Bible study; equip the ministry with resources and assist the leadership with effective ministry that lead members to salvation and development of their Christian life. The Sunday school Superintendent is responsible for building and coordinating these efforts through the Sunday school staff
Responsibilities/Duties
Serve as lead organizer, administrator, and supervisor of the Church’s Sunday School Ministry
Recruit and enlist workers for service in the Sunday school
Ensure that the Sunday school is evangelical and instructionally effective
Formulate goals for the Sunday school and devise plans for the attainment of objectives
Obtain information on Sunday school curricula and order materials as needed
Oversee the distribution of Sunday school materials or store materials in a designated location for easy access by leaders
Cooperate with other ministries within the church
Serve as a member of the Board of Christian Education
Recognize, encourage, and motivate Sunday school workers
The Associate Superintendent shall be responsible for performing all the duties of the Superintendent in his/her absence. The Associate Superintendent may also have certain duties assigned to him/her.
